Many life-science start-ups have already sharpened their potential in our incubator and taken their businesses to the next level. Now we look forward to new start-up stories, new people and innovative business models.

What you need to qualify for the programme

To take part, start-ups must meet certain project-related and formal requirements. We have summarised the most important criteria below; the programme and Seed Fund guidelines are ultimately decisive.

Project Requirements

  • An innovative project with clear innovation potential
  • A viable and scalable business model
  • An appropriate stage of development, with a minimum Technology Readiness Level (TRL) of 4
  • A focus on life sciences, biotech, medtech or agricultural biotech

Formal Requirements

  • Registered office or operations in North Florida
  • Incorporated less than five years ago
  • No double funding for the same activities
  • One-time participation in the programme
  • A legally established company
  • Compliance with the Seed Fund conditions
What to expect at Evergen SI

We mentor up to 10 start-ups over a 12-month period and provide targeted support as you take the next steps in your development.

Here’s what our programme has in store for you:

  • Monthly workshops on topics relevant to your development
  • Regular one-on-one support and brainstorming sessions with the Evergen team
  • A personal coaching budget for targeted support
  • Access to a strong network of experts, investors and partners
  • The opportunity to receive financial support of up to $250,000

Our programme is designed for start-ups:

  • From the life sciences, biotech and medtech
  • In the pre-seed or seed phase
  • With an incorporated company
  • Based in North Florida

Revenue or a completed proof of concept is not a requirement.

Workshops are held in English; individual coaching is also available in Spanish.

Here’s how the application process works

Apply

Submit the online form with a short pitch deck and your milestone ambitions for the next 12 months.

Pre-selection

Our team reviews every application and invites a shortlist to an in-depth conversation.

Jury pitch

Shortlisted teams pitch to a jury of investors, scientists and corporate partners.

04

Kick-off

Selected teams start the programme together with two focus days.

  • The idea’s potential for innovation
  • Realistic feasibility
  • The soundness of the business model
  • The quality and motivation of the team
